How It Started
Five Years In The Making

Cool Tech People grew out of something simple: a private Slack channel of about forty live events professionals who trusted each other. Over five years, that channel became an invaluable resource — a place to troubleshoot, share leads, find collaborators, and recommend the right person for the right job.

The quality of that group was undeniable. These were media server operators, video directors, projection designers, broadcast engineers, and technical directors who had collectively worked on some of the most demanding productions in the world. Not because they were loud about it — but because the work spoke for itself.

The question was simple: why keep that hidden? Cool Tech People is the answer — a public-facing home for a community that was already thriving in private.
